About The Old Photo Studio

The Old Photo Studio is a small web studio with one job: bringing old family photos back to life. We built it because almost everyone has a shoebox of prints — a grandmother’s portrait, a wedding picture with a crease through it — and no easy way to bring them back without paying for a subscription or handing photos to a stranger.

We use modern AI models to repair scratches, tears, fading and stains, and to add plausible natural color to black-and-white photos. One thing we refuse to do: change faces. The people in your photos are who they are. Every restored preview lets you tap any face and keep the untouched original — you decide, not the model. You see the result free first; if you don’t like it, you don’t pay.

Our data promise: uploads are processed, then automatically deleted within 24 hours. We never train models on customer photos, we never sell or share them, and there are no accounts to create. Deleted means deleted — the copy you downloaded is entirely yours.
